Post subject: Where is Gymboree in Shanghai?

Is it in english? At what age can you start?

Iīm kind of interested, just because I donīt know what Iīm supposed to be doing with my 6.5 month old, and books just donīt cut it!

HOw much does it cost? Can I go on an individual session basis, I donīt want to sign up for a long course.

Thanks for any info!

They have a website www.gymboree.com
Last month they offered free demo class, you better call and ask them. Yes, it's in English with some Chinese. The instructors are Chinese. They have classes for newborns Smile and up to 5,5 years old.
The prices ARE too high, and they only provide packages starting from 2,600 something. This way it's about 230 for the class.
My boy liked it a lot, though it seemed a bit hectic to me, the activities are changed very fast. In the play class, we had singing, climbing, throwing balls, and many other things. The playrooms are very clean, spacious and secure.
If not that price, we would definitely be there....

Thanks Russa, Iīll call and see if they still have the demo classes at least! That is really expensive though! Weīre not going to be around long enough to do a whole package, so I wouldnīt do it anyway.

Thanks again!

Hey Russa, did you notice if they sold their books there? I saw it on amazon, and itīs only $11, but I donīt want to wait for shipping. If they sell it here, I might be able to figure the stuff out myself.

Thanks! (donīt worry, if you donīt know Iīll call them in the a.m.)
