Post subject: Household Goods Insurance in Shanghai

Hi

My Insurance policy from Australia that I will be using to insure my goods in storage, will not cover my apartment inShanghai.
Do any of you know who I can contact in China for household Insurance, or have any suggestions as to what I should do ?

We got a renters insurance policy through AIU Insurance Company Shanghai Branch. Their phone number is 6350-8180.

Policies offered can cover the actual dwelling (if you own and do not rent), the contents of the dwelling, personal effects and valuables and employer's liability for domestic servants.

The premium is much lower than we paid for renters insurance in New York City. We have been fortunate enough not to have to make any claims on the insurance, so I cannot tell you how the claims process is.
