Post subject: dvd subtitle

no subtitle display when seeing dvd by computer,why?it has nothing to do with software,i tried power dvd,realone,media player....but no subtitle

Either the subtitles aren't turned on, or they aren't present on the disc.

well, some of the dvd which i got have subtitles but that dont reflect on what the movie is saying - sigh

What kind of DVD drive do you have? Details, please? Lots of details...

For Media Player click on Tools > Options > DVD > Defaults....
then you can set the subtitles for DVD's in general or modify it with every new disk you watch...

niko, by "lots of details...", I mean make and model plus anything else relevant. It may be, for example, that your drive can only read single-layer DVD's, but can't check until I know lots of details...

it can read any dvds,and i dont know much more about my dvd driver details,the handbook doesnt tell more.
i hear that some laptop manufacturers,for better screen definition(when seeing movie),they dont install subtitle software.
