Any one tried Oscard's? The one at the corner of Heng Shan and Fu Xing? Once one of my friends asked the manager if they serve F & C (not on the menu) and he said Yes. We didn't order that day since we'd just had some snacks. |

Ok peeps - This is going to sound ridiculous but shucks, I'd realised (in bed last night) that I don't have the number for Beaver Eagle. Any kind souls out there who might be able to help? Or is it perfectly acceptable to walk-in and ask for a table? |

You won't be needing to reserve a table at the Beaver - it tends to not get that busy until late - you should be ok at tea time. Have a good night! |

They also have the best cheeseburger in Shanghai. And at 35 Kuia its a good deal. Its HUUUGE!! |

So, there's currently 6 of us (bella + bf, jeff, oiboy, richvemon, and me of cos).
Thanks for the number and address oiboy  I will give them a call later (as you'd advised) when they open for biz. 4pm is kinda strange but for a pub nah...
Good question bella - how do we recognise each other? Lets bring a big card and write Fish Fanatics - place it in the centre of the table and grin grimace smile snort whatever LOL!! |

No need to book. There is only one table. Otherwise you can sit at the bar and eat. Just turn-up.
Trust me ... The Beaver is great, but it is not high-class dining! You will certainly all recognize each other ... the place is pretty small.

I agree no need too book a table. ust the fish. They are known to run out of stuff quickly and sometimes keep only limited stock on hand. (personal experience). Maybe they can give us a discount lol. This is China after all and we are ordering pretty much the sme thing. X 6 I think). |

Hi all!
I'm just 4 days old in Shanghai. Haven't made much friends here and don't think i wanna spend my first Friday all alone...  Sure want to join in for a tasty session of fish and chips and make some new friends too! So is it gonna be 8.30 pm at the bar cum restaurant? I'll be there! =) BTW, do i just go in and ask around for the group from Shanghai Expat? |

Me and my boyfriend are pretty easy to spot if anyone's is looking for the meeting - he is bald and i have long curly brown hair.
