| Post subject: fuvk airplane crashed |
Just read that a Chinese plane from Baotou to Shanghai crashed today. 54 people died.
Nice to know. am flying 12hours tomorrow .
But actually, it doesn't surprise me at all. Doesn't anyone think that the airplanes of these chinese flights (especially the local ones for added fun) look like they barely survived WOII??
Let's hope no-one from this board has family on it. |

Isn't that why we are working here, so they can have nice things like we have back home as quickly as possible? I think we are doing a good job, though there are tears along the way. |

Yeah, it's true that the only reason why these Chinese have airlanes, fast train and other kinds of technology, is cause WE FOREIGNERS CREATE AND DEVELOP TECHNOLOGY FOR THEM!!.... But the problem is that China is a land full of disasters (same as the Chinese society is! ), and tha's cause Chinese DON'T KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY USE AND MANTAIN ALL THESE STUFF!... it's like: "LETTING A MONKEY SIT AND DRIVE A PLANE!! "... the least you'll expect in that case, is a plane crash!! |

You insult me and I'm not even Chinese. I would never sit behind the wheel of someone elses car unless the owner insisted. Support roles are where foreigners look good.
These guys drive a lot better than I and I've driven in big cities for thirty years with no accidents. I've driven WW2 tank frames pulling a ram rock drill behind it up mountainside logging roads and better yet back down again. If they popped out of gear and the maxi break didn't grab we would jump. I've driven the newest, largest Kalmar forklift there is picking up rolls of news print two stories high "flat out", loaded stacks of rolls off the dock up to the roofs of barges from inside the barge and if we took our foot off the pedal to the metal we would get ejected. I've run the fast Jagenberg winder on the fastest news machine in the world at the time. The news machine was a city block long. I know good operators when I see them and these guys are. You're setting yourself up if you think different. |

LIDALONG25,
China is not the only country with horrific disasters. Look at the statitics from the US, England, Germany and many other Western nations. It is foolish to label China in the way you have.
Look in your own backyard before peering over the fence into others. |

I think the Bombardier CRJ200 is a relatively new acquisition... It is developed in Canade... not that I think it has anything to do with the crash... nor the nationality of the operators of the machine...
I personally know a couple of professional Chinese pilots and their training is nothing short of what pilots from any other country gets... The courses they took and passed were administered by the manufacturers, in the west... and their records are perfect...
Please, lidalong25... Your eagerness for insulting others (and with multiple laughing emoticon at that) based on your own stereotypical discrimination, even in evnet of loss of lives, is a telling reflection on your sad self... |

lidalong25: I was tempted to edit your post, but letting it stand may be more punishing. Your discriminatory and insulting tone adds nothing to the discussion. |

China Eastern Airline is not the only airline that had accidents, and China is not the only country got this. The only airline that never had accident is Quatas. |

I knew this was going to happen when I see all the Chinese guys playing with their mobiles till the plane takes off, and open as soon as the wheels touch the ground. The strange thing is no staff says anything about it. I wonder is everyone is CEO of somewhere to have those important jobs to risk other people's lives. Anyway it was sad to hear that so many people died...
Cheers.. |

Levent : Agreed... I think everyone here had seen what you described... and it is a serious problem... However, tf it really is the cause this time it will be a lesson learnt very hard...
I think I'll yell 'help! someone's going to crash our plane!" next time I seen someone doing that... |
