Post subject: Power Tools / Electrical Equipment

Hi Everybody,
A friend of mine told me once that there is a street in Shanghai to go to when buying tools, electrical supplies, test equipment etc. Now he is currently unavailable so I was hoping one of you would know the street he was talking about (I forgot the name).

I'm looking for tools and equipment to outfit our electric test laboratory. For example: miniature screw driver sets, power drills, tool chests, multimeters, current probes, BNC cables, oscilloscopes, thermocouple wire, temperature probes, exacto knives, soldering stations, lamps, microscopes, etc.

Some of these things I could find at OBI and in the RS catalogue but I'm sure that there are better (and more negotiable) prices to be had in the city.

Thanks,
Ben

You can find many shops in both of the following locations:

In Pudong
Dong Chang Lu

In Puxi
Beijing Lu and Fujing lu

I’m sure there are other places, but I have purchased things from both of these locations, foreign and domestic

Thanks SHMSPAC,
Now I remember, it was Beijing Lu he mentioned.
