it is not just about china it could also had happened in france and everywhere else....
police is a solution why not trying so?

christ... no one deserves to be hit. doesn't matter if it's a woman or man.
i see fights break out about once a week. one time, i stepped between one to stop a fight between two men, hedging my bets that they wouldn't hit a woman standing between them. it worked, but in hindsight, was pretty stupid of me.
the question is, we're here. perhaps we know better. is there anything we can do to stop physical violence? is there anything we can do to help?

theres a good chance she deserved it, women probably merit being hit alot more than men do. they usally are provoking it, and enjoy it. men usually fight when they're drunk or over women.
they shouldnt be punched quite so hard though.
if u want to stop a fight here , just stop and stare like the locals do. make urselve very obvious. this will cause a massive loss of face vis-a-vis a foreigner and because of their petty nationalism they will wrap it up pronto.

Just for the record. The woman was not with the guy, she got involved in an argument with him. Not sure what it was about, but she was vexed and trying to get him to talk to her and he responded by whacking her in the face.
My apologies if this is kicking **** in the air, but I find it sickening that a man can blatantly get away with punching a woman in the face and knocking her into a moving train in public and everyone just stands around regarding it as 'something to kill the time'. |

Yep. Absolutely correct. That's probably what would have happened.
Actually fukuman's advice to stand and stare and make sure that everyone sees you makes the most sense. I'm sure that there would be a good chance that locals would then step in to calm things down then.
I'm not afraid of getting hurt. I used to be a boxer (hence my damn ugly features). But in this situation that probably wouldn't be the best way to get involved. |

The translations you are talking about are not deemed to be the "word of God" as the Muslims put it and are NOT the Koran. There is only one Koran and that is the one in its original form, in Arabic.
