There is an outdoor pet and plant market on Wuning North Rd near the intersection with Daduhe Road. You can find aquarium fish, mice, hamsters, dogs, cats, birds, lizards, turtles, and all kinds of great plants (bonsai tree, palms, cactus, orchids, flower arrangments and cut flowers). Its a really amazing little market.
I didn't see Ferrets the last time I was there but I'm sure that if you know how to say it in chinese and offer them big bucks for it, then someone can find you a ferret.
But honestly, wouldn't you be happier with a house-plant or an aquarium instead? They are much easier to take care of and they don't pee all over the place.
