| Post subject: Fellow Expats - Why are you in China Ayway ? |
Locals and Chinese in SH from other provinces free to comment as well.
Expats, what made you end up in Shanghai / or China ?
- Loosing opportunities in your homeland ?
- Opportunity from your existing employer ?
- Wife / Husband lives / lived in SH / China ?
- Wanted to experience different life and culture ?
- Wanted to develop faster for your job / promotion ?
- Financially attractive "expat" package
- Running away from local authorities
- Friends / family in SH / China

I'm here to seduce the more comely of the local lasses. Their future husbands should thank me.
Either that or "Running away from local (or non-local) authorities." |

Indeed. I wouldn't mind re-invigorating the revolutionary forces as well. |

But, I have to say...each day I am at home and can actually do business on an adult level (and feel not like I am dealing with 5 year olds) it gets harder for me to fathom going back to China. I will have to take two valiums and drink a couple of shots in order to get onto that plane. I really really REALLY don't feel like dealing with all of the bull shiat one needs to deal with to do business in China. |

First I get hooked up with my g/f (now wife) at the time while she was studying in Toronto Canada. Since I worked in Automotive, I thought it would be very intersesting from many different aspects to come to China so a started planting seeds with my employer to send my ass overhere for a stint. Soon after that, our company started sourcing parts in China in a pretty big way. After the hand shake deal, this thing with my employer fell through so I hooked up with a supplier company I knew well. Been here ~ 5-6 months...
Do tell your details people, don't be shy. . |

Ok, Mrs Commando was asked to come here, because her company had opened an office here last year, problem was it was not operating as was hoped for, so she is here to sort the little beggars out and show them the ropes. Me, well of course i followed her, i was still recovering from a works accident and so had plenty of time on my hands, and i have been trying to keep myself busy by teaching English, this i have now had enough of, but will carry on until end of june, then it is bye bye Shanghai, because i'm dying to get back to my proffession, Aircraft Mechanic, and i have already a job lined up for me this summer with my old company Airbus.
So does this ease your inquisitiveness. |

I think the term for quadruple diamond executives is crown direct ! yes some nice single ladies, in their 20's (depending from which group), but mostly all married, in their 30 - 50... plus with the LOS rule, it's kinda hard to start dating someone from another group, don't want all hell to break loose!!!! but yes, I've met a few who are extremely nice |

A four letter word brought me to China. Another four letter word, not necessarily the same, may prove why I leave. |
