I ate that yesterday at 1001 Nights on Hengshan Rd. Very fine restaurant. Their current chef is a Palestinian-Syrian and is very good.

The restaurant food quality was not good in the middle of last year because they lost their main chef, who is a Syrian, as he moved to Guangzhou to open their 4th restaurant in China. They had a Chinese guy cooking at that time but now it's OK again.

They also have a restaurant in Beijing and one in Yiwu. The one in Yiwu is the best. Most of the clientele are Arabs and they have live Lebanese music on most nights. There is a big population of Arabs there and Arab vistors that come to buy goods for export. There are at least 6 middle eastern restaurants in Yiwu.
