All of the department stores with baby sections carry baby chairs. International brands (such as Chicco and Aprica) are available, but expensive. There are acceptable Chinese brand baby chairs available too, like Good Baby.
I bought our baby chair at Ikea. It is basic (i.e., does not have adjustable height, recline or a pretty seat pad). My thought was that a chair without the extras was safer, as there is not a possibility that it will suddenly fold up. Another plus was that cost only about RMB 100. The Ikea chair complies with safety standards in US, Europe, UK, Australia etc. |

You could possibly get one from the huge kids mall at the New Hualian Commercial Building at the junction of Ruijin Yilu and Huaihai Zhonglu. |
