| Post subject: Tanning Salons in Shanghai |
Does anyone know where I can find an afforable (Cheap if possible!) tanning salon in Shanghai? I use to go to my tanning salon back at home all the time. But since last summer and now that I've relocated to living in Shanghai, I'm pastier then ever! So far Ive found only one but the price is rediculously hiked up and they dont even open for another two months -- Im talking about the one at the Ritz-Carleton. If i remember correctly, think it was 90RMB per 12 minutes. Now THATs messed. |

Bronze Bodies is located on Tong Ren Road, basically across the street from Malone's. They have a website (try googling it, can't remember it right now).
Can't remember the prices from last year, but they were slightly less than those in the US. There are specials from time to time.
There are also tanning beds at Fitness First, in the basement level of Plaza 66 on Nanjing Road. Can call them to find out what the deal is.
Tanning beds are a trend in the city. Don't think you are going to find too many places that are super inexpensive. Bulbs and lotions have to be imported and there aren't enough people lining up to use them to warrent loads of places with competetive pricing...

"physical" gym in xujiahui has one. dunno if you have to be a member to use it or not. Also don't know the prices. But i'll bet it's better than the Ritz-Carleton.

Bronze boodies on tongren is good - 80rmb per visit or 500 for 10 visits - offer 12, 18 and 24 minutes - fitness first sunbeds are not recommendable - at least when I used them a year ago - but who knows maybe they changed the machines - in any case bronze boodies are the best obtion I know of.
