By the event schedules, I assume Carrol's group is catered to non-working expat women. If you working gals feel strongly about having get-togethers on non-office hours, why not form your own group? |

For our next lunch, on 24th August, we're off to India .. !! I've heard nothing but good reports about VEDAS, and am really looking forward to trying them.
However, we're going to do things a little differently this time. Everyone who comes, will be required to pay RMB 100 when they arrive, please. As Indian food is all about sharing, a large variety of dishes and breads will be set before us, and we will be able to freely tuck in, and eat all we want ! There will be spicy as well as non-spicy dishes, to cater for all tastes.
A cold drink , tea, coffee, or ice tea will be included in the price.
NOTE : PLEASE RSVP BY MONDAY, 22nd AUGUST, IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND. This is very important, in order to enable me to book a table in advance, to accommodate the right number of people.

Hi, even though i hv been here for 8mths, i wld still consider myself new to shanghai, given that for most of the time it has always been work, work and more work. Am glad that there is such a club arnd, but sadly its only for ladies who are here with their husbands etc... Was thinking maybe we cld hv such activities strictly for Ladies who are here alone during the weekends? Of course there are those get-togethers with the guys, but i think for start, we shld gather all ladies in one place..what do you think? |
