after ralfs crash they said they could not guarantee the integrity of their tyres. the 9 michelin teams agreed to run with the tyres but would start at the back of the grid behind the bridgestone teams but only on the condition that a new chicane was installed. this was refused so.................6 cars ran.

Things are not always so bad Arrow Michelin teams' failure to participate in the US Grand Prix is good for the last round of Chinese F1 GP, because Ferrari is coming back to compete with Renault and Mclaren! The next stops will be much more fierce and hopefully they will have the same performace and the Champion title will not emerge until the last race in Shanghai! Very Happy

F2005 doesn't seem to be quite competitive, so don't worry, Leader Mao! I assume the points gap between Ferrari and Renault/McLaren will become large again for the next few races.

If Renault or McLaren monopolizes the Championship like last year's Ferrari, the last round of Shanghai Grand Prix will be much less attractive, cos we will have already known who is the champion!

it will Be niCe if the championShip comeS doWn to the lAst raCE in Shanghai but thiS is selDom the caSE. The lASt timE i remembER this happeninG was 1997 buT i may bE wronG.

if Ferrari is in the hunT at the finish i mighT jusT skip the raCe. it is so boring watchinG them and thEY can't eveN raCE between their oWn drivERs.

but I do agREe if Renault and Mclaren are in the RaCe final to See who is the winner in Shanghai it will be fantastiC.

FIA World Motor Sport Council will hold a hearing today in Paris to discuss the solution to the US F1 GP farce. The 7 Michelin teams will face either heavy fine or even cancellation of Championship points! But the 7 teams reportedly threaten to boycott future races if they get severe penalties. Laughing

Let's wait and see!!!!!! Shocked

as for the last post i got news from the french newspaper l'equipe but it is in french. i am posting it anyway.

I don't speak French, but I guess the French newspaper may be proud of their national brand - Michelin! Very Happy Cos without Michelin's involvement, Formula 1 is not Formula 1 any more, it's become Formula 0 Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
