Good stuff. Some great beers in there. The Rogue Dead Guy is one of my favourites. |

I'm thinking after 3 weeks of drinking in Europe you would be best to stick to the Pure Blonde |

You'll start to notice around town soon the new beers from www.justbeer.cn (blatant plug).
We now have as permanent products Tooheys New (from New South Wales) and XXXX (From Queensland).
They are also on our home delivery site.
Also, in limited quantities we have Boags Draught (very nice drop), Boags Classic Blonde and Boags Light. These available at The Shed or home delivery if you ask nicely. |

Bitburger from Germany is my favorite. Can be found in bulk in Carrefour. |

Yanjing Legopeners from Beijing. I love this headache fodder. Makes REEB taste like Moet. Get on it... |

Hey Kiwi, I haven't read the whole thread, but I found some Monteiths in Shanghai a year ago. Summer Ale. Superb. What is the English pub in Dunedin you're talking about? I'm trying to recall. |

I'm guessing I talked about it at least 3 or 4 years ago Tanna, so I'm buggered if I can remember the name now.
I like Monteiths but it seemed overpriced whenever I saw it in China.
What China needs is Speights Pilsner (the little green bottle). That's a nice beer.
Had some Weka the other day (in Auckland, not Shanghai). Good drop, and at NZ$10 for a four pack it isn't priced stupidly like the other Moa beers.
Tonight however I drank Louis XIII Cognac. . .
Mwha! ha! ha ha ha! And the peasants are discussing beer!!!
But seriously, the Louis XIII is amazing stuff. Totally different from the XO. The XO is smooth and refined, while the Louis XIII just explodes in the mouth with all these intense flavors (almost like a Marc or a pisco), yet while delivering the flavor explosion it remains refined as. . . I was expecting 'XO but smoother. . . yawn' and it's not that at all. Classy.
Not sure about the price tag though. |

Any new beers available at the moment? City Super seems to have a bloody good selection, but i don't reckon i've ever seen anyone buy one from there.
There is a new white beer going around on draft. Vettel i think it's called. Not bad, but a bit light. On draft at Kai Bar and i believe, Southern Belle. |

That would be tough...no "V" sound in Korean, they like that OB crap.
Speaking of Mat...I do wish he'd add a few high quality Euro imports.
I'll volunteer to taste test any candidates.
I'd pick 1 or 2 from the Andechs Monastery in Bavaria, as close to
heaven as I'll probably ever get. |

'VB' = Victoria Bitter. Cheap Oz beer, and rightly so. |

Honestly, i'm not a fan. We have much better beers than VB, but it is the biggest selling beer in Australia, and the biggest one for us too. |

Yeah, good old Fosters reduced the alcohol on VB to 4.6% from 4.8%.
When i saw Bluebag commented on this thread i was ready for you to request the Silver cans.
I had a great response ready, which i will still use
"We've done full market research on the potential market of Reschs. We've determined that the market in China consists of one person, and he is a bit of a big girls blouse, therefore, the total volume is about 8 cases per year" |
