Post subject: Language exchange

manderin for English or French.
language exchange really can help people learn language well? hard to say. if by regular courses, it might be strongly hlepful.
i think why not form a language exchange group, four people is ideal.

Very Happy Yeah, it is not a bad idea.
today i read my book in cafe and met a new word not understood. i turned to a foreign guy beside me for help.
suddenly an idea hit me, why not look for a reading companion.
any english native speaker interested in it? you look your books or doing your issues, when you have a question about Chinese, and you can easily get help.
i think it is cool.

It's a very efficient technique to pick up men too.

Not that I am implying anything....

I agree with you Henry.
Actually, since i moved to Shanghai, i met several young local girls requesting me to help them with some english word or sentence.
They were talking like young unexperienced students but they turned out to be well experienced hookers!!!

You are right doufu "whores should be in pubs" but, since the number of foreigners living or just visiting Shanghai is growing and there is a big competition among the increasing number of local hookers, you can find them anywhere even you are not looking for them.

I was at Lotus Supermarket at the Grand Mall in Pudong yesterday morning around 11.30
I was shopping with my wife. She was looking for veggies and I was in another department looking for some tools. I was reading the specifications written on a tool box when a local girl (not Lotus personnel) approached me and asked some information Question , in a very nice and polite english, about self-adhesive surface saver. Surprised Surprised Surprised
In about 30 minutes of conversation she already asked me if i was married, for which company i was working for, if i had other relationships and finally if i was interested to hang out with her sometime Embarassed Very Happy Embarassed
Hopefully, my wife came to rescue me and this girl disappeared.............................. Sad Crying or Very sad Sad

I guess the above is self-explanatory!!!

why language exchange topic got changed into whores hook men, expeically damn rich foreigners?
i don't care those whores how and where hook inocent men, what i care is if people with common interest can gather together.

How do you figure that the foreigners worsen the locals "living status" (whatever that means)?

Well spotted MAthew.

Dofu, you are an idiot. If foreigners are so bad, why do you want to learn their language? And why do chinese women wants to marry foreigners so desperately (am talking about marriage, not about whores, although in the end it's all the same thing).

In case you dont know (and you dont), 90% of the whores clients are Chinese men, unhappy with their idiotic little lives (presumably because of women like you, incapable of simple argumentation).

What dofu manifests here is the exact mentality that we will be seeing displayed by locals when the economy starts going down: foreigners as always will be the first one to be blamed, even though foreigners are dumping 50usd billion per year in this country, creating jobs and transfering skills.

Cixi Dowager in 1900: "murder all the foreigners". Remember?

History repeats itself.

You've been warned.

If any local reading this can do the job of a foreign engineer, at a local price, I am recruiting please PM me. We are looking for consultants and project managers for industrial IT projects.

I guess that would be closer to 99.something% with barbershops at every street corner.

Frenchy, for you that love conspiracy theories: what happened in 1900 will happen in 2008 as soon as China wins the Olympics and inflation picks up.

Henry,
you shoot many points. argue is argue, no insult pls.
you throw numbers out, are they acurate? ok, not important
What do you mena "foreigners are dumping 50usd billion per year in this country"? foreigners are idiots? just dump money here without benefits? surely not, the benefits are tens of times of the original investment.

i learn English becasue behind English language, there's a spenlendid culture, which can open my mind and richen my life. not for the digust purpose of hook a foreigner guy.

it is true that many Chinese girls marry foreign guys. i believe most of them not hook but got moved, while instead maybe foreign guys hook girls first. anyway, i repect their marriage, it is for love.
foreign guys have advantage of chinese guys except for economy. their appearance and their nature from another culture. attactive.
but foreign guys not so sincere, change girls like change clothes, disgust.

You couldnt open your mind even if you used a sledgehammer, you racist little prat.

You learn English because you want to find a man. So, dont cheat yourself. "Splendid culture" ? For racist people like you there is just one "culture" in the world, and that is chinese culture.

As to "richen" your live, I believe you are talking about a "gene pool transfusion" right? please pm rutuman and I am sure he will be glad to provide you that.

f*** you.

I agree with you doufu, 4 people is ideal for language exchange, at least it can be a sort brainstorm chat with different opinion about a word, an idiom, or even grammer. Especially it can avoid embarrassed intimacy for a man and a woman get together in such a frequency that an evil powerful man would be burnt up with jealousy.
