| Post subject: Where to go for inline skating ??? |
Hi @ all !
I'm in Shanghai since March now with a few interruptions, this time I brought my inline skates here.
Any hot recommendations where to go for skating ? I live in Puxi near the Suzhou River... Not so easy to find a suitable track nearby...
Thanks in advance and take care !

I don't know if inline skates are the same as roller blades, but I see a lot of roller skaters at the park outside Shanghai Science & Technology Museum Metro station... They are good!
But that is a bit far away from your side, it's in Pudong... |

Hi hoolioh !
Yes, inline skates are often called roller blades because the name of the company which made this kind of sports famous in the past is Rollerblade.
Bevertheless many thanks for your advice, I definitely will try this location during a weekend. |

I agree, I am also a inline skater and I think the Sciency and Tech Museum Metro and Century park are adequate. Traffic in Pudong is not so bad either so I would even suggest on the bike roads. Just make sure your wheels are the hardest type so they don't ware as much. Just thinking of these places reminds me when I was skating in Korea. |

I like the Science and Tech museum... lots of wide open and very smooth surfaces.. and if you like to freestyle a bit, there's plenty of short stairs, ramps, and other objects you can test your safety equipment out on |

I was there in the winter. It was good, but there were lots of idiots with kits letting the strings drift across the area -- which was somewhat dangerous as you can imagine.
