Is this still going on? I touch down December 17th and will try to make it to the next meet on the 23rd...as long as it will still be held given its close proximity to Christmas?
Either way, subscribing to this thread... |

Both coffee meets happen every week, even thru holidays. Sure the attendance varies, but popping in on a few can be very helpful in getting new folks off the ground, and regulars a chance to relax or vent or help others along as we all go thru similar phases of our expereince and sometimes it helps to see we are not alone.
The sunday meet is a bit more social these days and is staffed by the ShanghaiExpat events staff. The saturday coffee meet, I personally host ,along with a few veteran expats such as p1at, kuldaen, and captaincook. Both events welcome new expats anytime. |

I'm Chinese American from Los Angeles and I'm taking a vacation to Shanghai at the end of November for 2 weeks. Would be nice to drop by on the Sun event as well as maybe the Sat coffee thing and Malone's on Wed. |

Will see you all there later. Yes, coffee bean has food. sandwiches, quiche, pasta, .. one of the most reasonably priced in XTD.
Yes.. we do have kids show up.. from infant and older. No problem. |

Lyena,
I went for the first time last week, it is an informal get together so you just show up. There were about 10 or so there last week. I have been in Shanghai for less than a month and met more nice people there and in a shorter amount of time than I think I could anywhere else.
