Last week there were a lot of new people to Shanghai. So there are lots of people in the same boat and its pretty easy to meet new people or just find out what is going on.

Can't make it tomorrow, but hopefully I can make it next Sunday!! Just arrived in Shanghai, good to know that there are more people that have just arrived AND go to these meeting by themselves. Knowing you're not the only one makes it more easier to go.....I think..... Wink

It does make it easier knowing that there are lots of people who also need to make new friends in a new city. Anyway.. rain or shine, I will be there around 1. Afterward off to the BBQ!

Couldn't go thru all 33 pages, so what time is this thing? and is it still at Coffee Bean in XTD? I am gonna be in town around mid-Sep.

right. it's hard to go thru to dig out the time..but if you saw the first three lines on the first page... Very Happy

Yes.. rather than start new threads and get people confused we just keep the basic info current on the first post. It is still going on.. drawing a pretty good crowd recently.. people do tend to show after 1 though.. so if you show up at 12 and no one is there.. walk around xtd for a while and there will be a crowd forming near the banner sign in a 15-30 min.

For the Sunday meet, just walk into Coffee Bean about mid way into the restaurant across from the cash register you will see a Solarium. That is where we hang out. There should also be a tall self standing Shanghaiexpat poster next to the the area where we sit. Just find an empty chair, introduce yourself and join the group. If no empty chairs, just grab one from the restaurant and find a place to squeeze yourself in.
