| Post subject: HK Biz Visa application - letter of invitation required? |
If I fly into HK from another country (India), then apply for a Business Visa (preferraby multiple entry) for China..
Do I need a letter of invitation (I do not have one).
Do I need a flight ticket out of a CHina at a future date, or can I tell them I will exit by train to Russia.
I heard no visa is required for UK people arriving in HK if they stay there less than 3 months.
Thx. |

Go to the Chinese Embassy in Wanchai. Just outside you'll see some touts handing out cards for visa agents. One of these agents is one minute away from the China Embassy.
Go there, hand over hk$1300 and get a one year business visa. Allow two full working days I think.
You will be allowed to stay in HK long enough to get your Chinese visa sorted out. |

I don't think you can get a one year business visa if it's the first time you apply for a chinese visa. Anyway, just leave it to the visa guys, and they will figure out what can be done. |
