Post subject: second worst movie i have seen

the other night i watched a movie called Aussie Park Boyz. Man, was this bad. it is not too often you can watch a movie this horrible and then halfway through i realized it was a rip off the movie the Warriors from 1979.

all in all it was good for a couple of smirks, but i can't believe they took themselves seriously in making this film.

I've never seen Ausie Park Boyz, but if we're starting an awful movie thread, then Mr. & Mrs. Smith has to make the list. It was definitely one of the worst movies I've ever seen! The movie had no redeeming qualities and it was not even worth the price of a DVD in Shanghai.

Did you think Mr and Mrs Smith was that bad?? I thought it was quite entertaining actually - not exactly a "good" film but it was quite fun. I normally have a low tolerance for crap movies as well - now Billie Elliot - that is a crap movie!!!

Watched XXX 2 the other day. VERY bad. I absolutely loved the 1st one. In fact, it was the start of my first date with Mrs Mat. Number 2 was appalling. Up their with Tron. That has to be the worst i have seen.

it was a canadian film, i can't remember the title right now but it was something like Search for Smokey River. It was about a Russian immigrant who saw a spaghetti western about the man from smokey river and he set out in his black cowboy outfit across canada to find the river.

on the way he mets a massive east german who is funding his way across the country by selling fake pieces of the berlin wall. he takes rocks and smashes them up and then spray paints them and sells them.

they also pick up a dope smoking native indian who guides them on his way.

i am laughing really hard as i write this because the movie actually sounds like it would be quite funny, but it was bad, seriously bad and incredibly boring and bad.

Highlander 3 has definitely got to be one of the worst. I enjoyed the 1st installment and it was sort of a hit/cult movie in its era so was very disappointed with this piece of crap. Another more recent one is Alexander. It was VERY VERY bad. Don't understand why Colin Farrel decided to take up this one. I think it won last year's Berries Award (is that the right spelling?) for Worst Movie of The Year. I'm sure there are a few more horrible movies that I remember... if I dare search the dark chambers of my memory...

Agree on Highlander III. The first was great, and is still one of the better movies around. I think it was the actors fault. That Christopher Lambert is the worst actor going. Remember Fortress?

Apart from "True Feelings", a truly awful movie my sister dragged me to aged 10, the absolute worst movie of all time has to be "Fight Club".

Grand Canyon was the only movie I have ever walked out of a cinema in the middle of. Some really well known actors but truely awful.

We actually saw this movie about 3 weeks ago, the cover looked good, like a cross between Romper Stomper and Once Were Warriors. Two great NZ and Aussie films. We were sadly disappointed. But I did get to see my local streets, pubs and train stations in a whole new light. This film was released a few years ago in fact I think I remember it being supported at one of the local art house cinemas. All in all it's a bit of an embarrassment for the West Aussie film industry (along with our football team Sad

I thought the movie had bad writing and acting. The shootout scene at the end was totally ridiculous. Sorry we disagreed on this one.

Shocked You're talking about Fight Club with Brad Pitt and Edward Norton? Thats one of the best films I've ever seen! I even brought my real original "Fight Club" DVD from Australia !

you have to wonder what they were thinking when they made this film. i have seen some great aussie films over the years, The Castle, Getting Square, Lantana etc.

what was with these gangs, the ice hockey goalie mask wearing gang? oh yah, they are everywhere in melbourne. the irish gang? what is this 1890?

oh man, the scene where they first go to prison and have to fight against groups of people. it is sooooo bad.

the cover did look great though, and i have to admit it is why i bought it in the first place.

I saw Gingerbread Man in a sneak preview years ago, and it was really rubbish.
We went to another sneak a week later in a different cinema and asked what movie they were showing. They wouldn't wanna tell us. So we asked if it was Gingerbread Man, because we really did not want to see it again. They still would not want to tell us.
Surely enough we went anyways and they showed the Gingerbread man. We decided on leaving but before we got out we shouted out what's happening at the end.

And Congo. And Freddie got fingered with Tom Green. And Sweet November with Keanu Reeves

I can't believe someone actually rates Fight Club as 'The Worst Movie Ever.' Shocked Aigh! I loved that movie. Loved the book too. You must see some of the bad movies i have seen, and THEN say that!

Some candidates for movies so bad they are not even enjoyable as bad movies:
The Fast and the Furious (truly almost cried that i paid to see this in the theatre. unwillingly of course.)
Face/Off (what were they thinking?)
Broken Arrow (i think that is the name)
Hotel (what the hell happened to Mike Figgis???)
A Talking Picture (I think that is the name. what the hell was John Malkovich thinking?! the director should have just retired...)

and that is all i got. oh, and anything with Keanu Reeves trying to act beyond his 'Matrix' and 'Bill and Ted' characters.

i don't know if i should admit this, but i actually liked Grand Canyon. Then again, I saw some Steve Martin movie -- Twist of Fate or something -- when i was, well i'll say intoxicated, and thought it was utterly profound. Wink

By far the worst I've seen is "Dahong denhong gaogao gua"
"lanterne rosse" in Italian I don't know the english title but should be somting like red lamps
I was forced to see it by and still cannot forget that terrible time
Second: "Madison County'e bridges" with Clint Eastwood
3rd: never ending story

All 3 very boring movies, I like action, things happening, not only people talking and nice picture!

Well that's interesting, bellabella and kuldaen. Maybe you can explain to me what's so great about Fight Club.

To me, movies only work if you can suspend your disbelief and get drawn into the story. But I can't think of anything believable or absorbing about Fight Club. The characters weren't in the slightest bit likeable. Helena Bonham-Carter was totally miscast. The whole story was based on the whimsical notion that beating someone to a pulp somehow makes you a better person. And then when you get to the end, you find out that (...edited this bit to remove spoilers...) none of the things that happened in the movie can possibly have happened. When we got to that bit, I was just thinking, "Can I have my two hours back now, please."

But what was it that I missed. Is it brilliantly ironic or something?
