| Post subject: Swimming |
After living here a few months, I got around the exploring some of the options I would have for working out in a pool. Most of the pools I found were small, indoors, dark, and dank. Until now! I found a 50 meter pool in changning district and now wonder if there are any swimmers out there that would like to get a little organized workout going. It's a brand new facility, and pretty nice. The hours might be tricky if you are 9-5, but heck, if anybody is interested, let's just start there and see how many people actually are interested. KW |

The pool as at the new International Gymnastic Center on WuYi Lu. The other street is a big overhead highway, so it might be the inter-ring road???? Don't know for sure. Anyway, the fee is $30 unless you buy a yearly membership, which I did for $2,200. I swim a lot, so will get the savings out of this easily.
On to the Stadium pool, what is the deal there? Is it 50 M? It might be a little far for me (that's near Ikea, right?). My other question: is it organized, like with lane ropes and stuff, or just a free-for-all.....? |

Would like to join the swim club at Intl Gymnastics Center. Are you meeting up this saturday afternoon? Have not gone swimming since I moved to Shanghai last June. Looking forward to get back into it.
By the way, is the pool heated? |

| Post subject: Int'l Gymnastic Pool ... Where exactly?! |
Just wondering where exactly is the Int'l Gymnastic pool?? Is it better to take the Zhangshan Park Stn exit, or go to Yan'an Rd stn? Do you have directions or a phone number? What about swim times, is it open during weekdays too??
Thanks |
