:SMOKE:
Wu Hongfei, the female singer was a graduate student in literature at the renowned Qinghua University.
Image
She had already published two books of poetry and essays, and was a prolific writer by the time she started singing in bars in the Sanlitun nightlife district of Beijing. Soon she began writing songs and quickly formed a band.
Image

Most of the audience reaction to the Happy Avenue was strongly supportive of this young woman singing and screaming with so much pent-up frustration and unadorned melancholy. Wu Hongfei offered up psychedelia like "The Fish in Little Long's Room," "An Apple Who Wished to Be an Orange," and "Butterflies," which were way beyond the standard fare of any Chinese lyrical explorations theretofore. People were particularly taken by the lyrical rhythm of "Daughter," a tongue-in-cheek ode to motherhood, daughterhood, and divorce.

Hey Guys,

I am here since one week and don't know where to find the Tai Kang Road on the map. Can you please tell me further streets around it?

Furthermore I would like to know about some other Rock-Clubs in Shanghai.

Please tell me,

Claudia

Tai Kang Road is between Zhao Jia Bang Road and Jian Guo Road.

Hey Msittig, the bar is a bit Jazz with very nice red wall. Small and warm, especially in this chilly autumn. And we will turn it on fire "D
