Post subject: "Replica" Watches

I was just curious as to the replica watches in shanghai. I was told that the 2 places in Asia to get replica watches is either in Seoul or in Shanghai as both places produce pretty decent watches..

Has anyone had the privelege of sampling decent watches from both cities?

And just out of curiosity, where would be the best places in shanghai to get decent replica watches which don't fall apart after a day of wear. I've heard that the watches in Itaewon in Seoul are as good as it gets but then others tell me that they're all made in China ... so I'm not sure which is true...

You can't go anywhere close to the Xiangyang market without someone assaulting you with "Hello, sir, watch, dvd.." Not sure about the quality but my husband was looking at a few last weekend and they looked like nice watches - had the right weight, the backs looked solid, etc. However, the watch seller took one look at the watch my husband was already wearing and said, "Oh yeah, you have real one" which makes me think that the fakes aren't close enough to the real deal that you can't tell them apart from the real ones.

I don't know the prices but there is another thread about the Xiangyang market that has them listed.
