Sinned69,

my likes are that this city oozes opportunity and I feel that if I put a certain amount of hardwork in then I'll get something back for my efforts. This is a town that's going places and it's hard not to be excited about the future and I think that in general the people here walk the street with a positive attitude. That's not to say that in five years time I won't be jaded after having been ripped off by my chinese business partners. But until that happens I'm still waking up with a smile.

My dislikes are purely physical ie. summer/winter weather and pollution. Oh and when I'm trying to get off the metro at peak hour and there are plenty of idiots just pushing to get in. So now I exit the train car with protruding elbows and enjoy the moment.

My question is "How has the Shanghai you experienced when you first arrived differed to what you know now after spending some time here?

Why male lao wei dont want to get married with local girls?

Many reasons. Some do actually get married to local girls. Some don't want to get married to any girls. Some thing that all that local girls want is their money and are not interested in them for other things - that's hardly very atractive.

My question:

Why do local girls want to get married to lao wei?

Why do local girls want to get married to lao wei?

I am not local girls but i know some of them. Can i answer this?..
Well, she said it's more about physical attraction than money. Asian is not manly enough, she want someone who can lead her. But she also said "I like handsome guy... and rich. If i have to choose, i will choose handsome first and then rich, but better both."

My question:

Why guys stop to have infatuation over girls after sex?

Answer: there's only enough blood in the male body to operate either the head or the 'thing', but not both at the same time.

Question: would a good local girl approach a male laowei on the street and suggest a real date?

"Question: would a good local girl approach a male laowei on the street and suggest a real date?"
Well I guess I am qualified to answer this question.
It could be done if and only if the male laowai has a book (no porn) in his hand and doesnt look arrogant.

Question: What do you do if you are unable to fall asleep when its damn late in the evening? (No soporific please)

I am very qualified to answer this one and to state that by the way it is a silly game: I would usually work or study Chinese with my iPod. But preferably I would have a naughty girl like Lemonade on hand and do some exhausting hanky-panky together. I would then sleep like a baby.

Answer: Some men are weak, which explains both situation you describe. Men always think about ex-girlfriends.

Question: how to become advisor to a major in China? All majors seem to have a cohort of business advisors, either CEOs of big MNCs operating in their city or some dodgy businessmen.

ANSWER: Yes

QUESTION: Are there any benefits with becoming an advisor to city mayors? Assuming yes, what? (Besides opportunities to influence decisions in your own favour)

Hey you did not answer the right question! There are benefits, in terms of PR. You can put this in your resume to impress idiotic board members who see China as an intricate place where people wearing pointy hats speak in hieroglyphical dialects.

Yes, you get somebody to drive you and the mayor around in a flashy car

My Question: Why are people in Beijing such arseholes? Why did they charge me RMB10,400 for 15 Brandys of inferior quality and then beat me up when I refused to pay?

Answer: Because you should not follow girls who come to you in Wangfujing, seemingly charmed beyond hopes by your good looks. Of course its a scam. The percentage of arseholes among Beijing population is the same as Shanghai, Stockholm, Zurich and Pheonix, Arizona.

My question: why can't you all play the game fair and square by providing good answers to my meaningful questions?
