Post subject: mountains in thailand, something super chill?
can anyone recommend a very chill place around some mountains in thailand? chang mai doesn't sound like it fits the bill anymore, i badly need a nature fix. i'm thinking of going to the beach there somewhere too. thanks!

If you have not been there before.. Chang Mai is probably a good starting place. It is relatively low key ( compared to Bangkok or Phuket ) and there is a lot pointers to other place you can check out in the north. If you strike out on your own into the mountains, you have kind of be careful because not all areas in the north are especially friendly (like if you happen to stumble on someone poppy field for instance ) .
