Post subject: Hallo everyone!!

Hi ya!!

James here!! Well, things are going just fine and thanks for friends here providing me wif ample informations earlier and I cant wait to meetup wif u guys soon in Shanghai.

Been rather busy though getting things done here and I will be travelling to Shanghai this 18th for a week to get things done before I really step into Shanghai this coming FEB.

Anyway, was wondering base on all your business experience here, what will be the right marketing plan if I do not have ready clients in Shanghai? I am mainly looking into corporate businesses.. was thinking I will have to do visits to business to sell my services, maybe advertise thru websites, faxes and emails but think i wont last long like that..

Is there any recommended marketing company that help people like me sell my services out to the mass?? Well... or can brothers here give me some pointers??

Cheers mate!!!

James - Shanghai here I come!!! Wink

you want corporate clientele?

I'd say loose the cutesies and dump the trendies- "wif", "u", "thru"

punctuate your contractions properly

remember you are NEW in a dime-a-dozen situation- if you want to be taken seriously don't come off as some inexperienced teeny-bopper

Thanks for the manners lesson but really you should check the context before assuming rudeness.

It wasn't a request but a straightforward suggestion- "I'd say..."
Were ALL the suggestions you ever received or given prefaced with a "please"? Hardly, but that didn't make them rude now did it?

So go kick someone else.
Please.

Hey, didn't intend it as a kick, just a nudge. Something lost in cultural translation, I guess. Sorry, my sense of humor does me in again. Sad

Reminds me in 'Friends', if you watched before, when Phoebe tried to talk to a British Lady for Ross Wedding, she had to add awful a lot of 'please'. Only made the situation funny rather than ... though.
Politeness is a buffer. Is it more important than the content behind it?

A friend won't talk to me any more because thinking me not polite enough at a point.

Sometimes politeness is just expected, for example the word 'please' in the UK.
