Post subject: Need help --- compare JinQiao and Lujiazhui neighborhoods

Dear All:

I'm in my 3rd week here in Shanghai...have taken a 1 month lease on a large 3BHK in JinQiao...beginning January we'll have to decide on where we want to live for the next year or so....

Places I've liked so far --- 1. LuJiaZhui Area - Summit Residences
2. JinQiao --- around the Carrefour.

Could you guys help me compare these 2 areas from a lifestyle perspective....the following are most important to us:

1. Hospitals/Out-Patient Clinics - preferably WorldLink/Shanghai East nearby [we have a 5-month old]
2. Access to shopping [groceries, veg. markets, etc without the hassle of parking and all]
3. Schools are not a concern for at least 2 more years
4. Good restaurants/Pines/CITY market close by
5. Not too lonely a place [JinQiao does seem a little lonely sometimes]
6. RENT/COST OF LIVING is not a factor.
7. We have a car and a driver, but would need access to Taxis on Sundays and late nights [if there is an emergency of some sort]
8. Commute to work --- JinQiao is at a slight advantage [about 15mts]

Well, lujiazui is far better than Jinqiao, cause there you can get everything coneniently and easily and instantly, so maybe you can choose it to live in.
