Post subject: Gyms near Dongfang Lu (close to the 800 1/2 dept store)?

Hey, does anyone know of any gyms near the intersection of Dongfang Lu and Zhang Yang Lu (close to the 800 1/2 - bah bai ban - department store)? I live near that area, and am looking for a well-equipped place to work out in.

Hi keayts,

There is a gym on the 3rd and 4th floors of 816 Zhangyang lu called BestFit International Gym Center. Membership starts at ~1800 (I think) and goes up to ~3100. I actually go to another branch on Pujian lu which is a bit south of Babaiban; my experiences there are mixed. The largest benefit is that almost no one else works out at my branch so I have the gym all to myself - the largest disadvantage is that a lot of the equipment is broken and getting it fixed requires the typical Chinese hoo-ha (pretty much asking nicely 10 times and then threatening to call the manager and having it fixed the very next day).
