| Post subject: Need advice on nutritious snacking @work |
I work in an industrial park out in Jingqiao, and as such, there are no restaurants or cafes anywhere remotely close to where I live. My company provides a cafeteria lunch for all its workers, but the food is god-awful. I'd like to try and maintain the weight I had when I left the States, when I was eating something like 5 times a day - does anyone have advice on what kinds of snacks I could bring to work? Ideally, I'm looking for something adequately nutritious (granola would be an example), so please don't recommend something like pork rinds. My workplace doesn't have a microwave, stove, nor a refrigerator, so whatever I bring has to be either immediately edible or heatable through the use of hot water (which my company does provide). |

you already mentioned what i would bring... granola bars! they can be easily found at city supermarket. how about some fruit? something simple like oranges that don't require a lot of fuss to eat. for days that i am really hungry, i find that a small pack a saltines usually does the trick. if you have a small insulated bag, then perhaps a yogurt will keep if you use a cooling pack. |
