| Post subject: Where can I buy domestic exports (clothing)? |
From what I understand, the best quality clothing manufactured in China cannot be bought in China because companies can make much more money exporting it abroad. But I heard that there are some shops on Fuxing Road that sell men's clothing for local prices (very cheap) which are domestically made with export (high) quality. But Fuxing Road is long. Does anyone know the names of the shops and the cross-streets they are near? Or does anyone know of other stores in Shanghai that sell domestic exports? |

As noted above, many small stores and boutiques all over town carry some surplus and over-run "for export clothing". They are all over the place. Several small chains carry such clothing. One called "PuDian" has outlets around town, though I can only think of two right off hand, one on JiangSu rd South of the Metro 2 station, and another on DingXi Rd Southj of Zhong San Prk. Hot Wave is anothe chain that carries som, though mostly outdoorsy stuff.
Try shopping along ShanXi South Rd between HuaiHai and Yan An Rd. Also along the section of RuiJin #1 Rd from Chang Le Rd to Yan An and that section of ChangLe Rd (which is Parallel to HuaiHai) near RuiJin Rd. |
