I went to IKEA this weekend. Creamed salmon beats creamed cod, hands down!
BTW, did you know that democratic Finland allied with Nazi Germany during WWII? I didn't. |

Three wars....
The Winter War: nov.30 1939-mar.13 1940;
Where the Soviet Union attacked Finland.
Finland finally signed a peace treaty that saw 1/10 of it's territory under soviet control,
Finland maintained it's independence.
The Continuation War: jun.25 1941- sep.4 1944;
Finland allowed German forces to attack the Soviet Union through northern Finland.
(In hopes of regaining it's lost territory.)
Finland did not declare war against the Soviet Union until being bombed.
In it's attack, finland regained the land it lost during the Winter War
but refused to join the German attack on Leningrad.
Finally Finland signed a peace treaty that saw it lose the same areas
as the winter war (again) to the Soviet Union.
As well as make huge payments for soviet 'damages'.
the Lapland War: sep.27 1944- apr.27 1945
Finland fought to remove German forces from northern Finland. |

The founder of Ikea, Kamprad himself, has quite a dubious past with connections to the nazis. He ought to make up for it and buy the land back for Finland. He can afford it. |
