Brazilian waxing faces more controversy than other types of waxing. It can be a physically painful experience during and after waxing, which can become even more unpleasant if receiving cunnilingus from a bearded partner. |

Why do I do it? Because I prefer the way it looks and I have found that most women like it, too.
Oh, I found a place that does boyzilians in Shanghai:
Helen Nail Spa
819 Julu Rd, Jing An district
5403-7802
Very nice Filipina girl doing the waxing, speaks perfect English. A bit pricey: boyzilian and shoulders cost RMB710. Only game in town, though. |

Magnolia, don't get me wrong, I am not saying go for the all natural look -- just saying that trimming and shaving parts of it is much better and much less painful -- and apparently a lot cheaper too
And only talking about men -- cause their.... bits and parts are sensitive and wax is hot and also pulling the hair could not be good for that area. For girls -- no problem, i do it all the time and love it. |

Yeah... I was curious about kingkraw's "boyzilian". Wouldn't that be unbearably painful? |

No doubt about it: it IS painful, especially the first couple of times. Not the wax itself but the pulling out of the hairs. But I have been doing it for a couple of years now with no problems affecting *ahem* performance. And I really do think it looks and feels much nicer. Not just for me, but for my girlfriend, too. |

^ Does the hair grow back softer and slower like they do when we wax our legs? Wouldn't it be just as much fun (and less painful) if you asked your girlfriend to shave for you? |

Yes, much more slowly. And I think a bit softer.
I am actually single right now so there is no girlfriend to shave me. But even if there was a gf around, I don't think I'd want her to do that. I don't even like having someone else shave my face, much less that area: I would really hate to be nicked down there! |

How often do you need to spend 710RMB on waxing down there? |

About once a month. Not too bad. How often do you go? |

I suppose you could argue that it has something to do with hygiene. |

I just googled it and it gave me this post so that's why I started writing. And now it's gotten a life of its own! |
