| Post subject: Entrepreneur Roundtable |
Are you aware of any discussion groups in Shanghai that focuses on microentrepreneur business development opportunities in china? Do they have fortune 500 CEO Guest speakers? If so, please tell me about them. If not, will you join me as a co-founder of the Shanghai Entrepreneur Roundtable?
There are so many small foreign companies that are hungry to assign distributorship and sales territories in China, with Shanghai at the top of the list. Import/Export opportunities are booming. New brands and small businesses are popping up everywhere. I would like to contribute my ideas, strategies, and business savvy in exchange for yours. I own a small orthopedic soft goods business in the U.S. and am having a lot of fun discovering new ways to help my business grow. What's even more exciting, though, are the endless opportunities for other business ventures in China! You may have great ideas, but are discouraged because there are a few missing links in your chain of ideas. Whatever the case, your ideas may have a substantial amount of value if you are connected to the right people with good strategies, reputation, or ability. Be encouraged! Move... shift... merge... create!
Recommended venue: 3-4 star hotel near the underground, preferably between Xu Jia Hui and People's Square
Time: Tuesday evening
Membership: Must be a small business owner or have a background in business development and/or marketing OR have above-standard business acumen on the Chinese market. Membership by vote.
Diversity: It is desired to have Chinese and foreign roundtable members who conduct business in diverse, non-competing industries.
Establishment: We should have several preliminary coffee-shop-meetings to determine the details of formation, structure, order, and governance prior to commencement at the selected venue.
Leadership: Moderator rotation is the suggested format. Topics and discussions should be decided democratically and, other than the moderator, all members shall participate equitably.
Of course, my hope is that you will have greater ideas than these preceding. I look forward to meeting many pioneering entrepreneurs of Shanghai very soon and building life-long lasting relationships with the great leaders of tomorrow. |
