| Post subject: Mohammed Project (short film)world premiere ! |
Hello to everyone, it's been a long time since I've
been back here.
Now I live in Shanghai, China , use to live
in Santa Monica, California ,anyway let me tell you
about Mohammed Project this is the short film that I'd
done four years ago I shot at with original dvx 100
ntsc, when it first came out I got the camera. It took
four days of actual principal photography , one and a
half of week editing and four years , tucked away in my
suitcase since I start of traveling to Europe and Asia.
So now , I found youtube.com Web site , and I uploaded.
There are three parts to the film, it is 18 minutes
long. I have actually shown this film ,to some of my
Muslim friends back in Los Angeles and they liked it a
lot , because the leading protagonist is a Muslim man
with a redeeming quality. This will be the first time
that I shown it international or anywhere for that
matter. Please let me know what you think about the ending.
Oh yes , the Total budget was maybe 1,000 US.

This is what some are saying about the film on the net , so far!!
A cross between the professional and the good the bad
and ugly.Mohammed, it is about a man who is searching
for his true spiritual self, conflicted with the
profession that he has chosen to live by. Controversial in
nature , visually striking and fabulously executed,a
one-of-a-kind experience.Mohammed, in its short 18
minutes, does more than most feature films do and that
is to tell a story . a unique story with suspense
bleeding from the screen. A new generation of
filmmaking blending American intensity with the
European sensibility.
The funny thing is , I know I can do better ,this was a rush job . I just wanted to shoot with my new camera . I am planning to shoot a film in Shanghai , with hopefully a much bigger budget. Now I am finishing a screenplay , that I am cowriting with a friend . I actually brought my camera back with me from to the states , and ready to make it happen again. |
