I heard yesterday that Xiangyang Market will relocate to Longhua Xi Lu, but I don't know how soon it will be up and running.

@Kiwikells, a little south of the Caoxi Rd/Inner Ring Road 'intersection', i.e. south of the western end of Xujiahui. I had to look on the map for it too!

Yeah if anyone has insider news on where they're moving to, do share! One shop said they might be moving to Hong Qiao. Another said Nanjing Lu.

I went there yesterday. I bought some t-shirts for 20-30rmb. But the handbags werent that cheap. I was looking for the lv, multicolor round bag, if anyone knows what I mean. I couldnt even get it for 100rmb. I went to several stalls....10-20 stalls. I found one stall that sold it to me for 110rmb. I also bought a gucci bag with a scarf strapped around the bag. Bought these two bags for 250 rmb. Thats pretty expensive.

Anyone know how the last day at xiangyang market is going to be like? Will everything be cheaper than usuall? Actually, I dont find the prices cheap at all. You can see signs everywhere saying wallets for 25 or 30 rmb, and scarfs for 10 yuan, t.shirt for 30 yuan. If you are good at bargaining, thats the prices you get. So, I dont find it cheap. You can actually get cheaper wallets and belts at qipu road.

Just went to Xiangyang last Sunday night and they're really trying to get rid of their stock. The best thing is that you don't need to bargain much to get a good price. Planning to go one last time before it's gone forever. Happy shopping! Very Happy

Totally agree! I was there two weeks ago and it was by far the easiest visit, even their starting prices were lower and some vendors had put prices on things(which were still negotiable).

Spoke to a few vendors and they basically were giving out business cards as they did not know where they were going to end up.

Went to the market today for some last minute "bargains". Got addresses for the two new locations:

Fenxiang Market
580 Nanjing West Road by Chengdu Road
Closest imetro station is Shimen Lu

Yataishenghai Shopping Center
Century Avenue by the Science & Technology Museum Station

One vendor that I spoke to today who was relocating to the Nanjing Lu market said 70% of the vendors/stalls are going there and 30% are relocating to Pudong.

Isn't anyone worried about taking things home on the plane, especially if they've purchased a boatload of items? I certainly am and appear to be the only one that asks questions about it. Appears as though all the laowei go there and buy everything they want and don't even think twice about getting through Customs. Maybe it's just not a problem like so many reports indicate....hmmmm... Confused
