Hi Guys. Great Board.
I am coming to Shanghai for a first time visit on 20th September.
I have searched the board for information on budget hotels and have found the information needed. Thank you to those who posted such valuable information.
However I now need help in regard to another matter. I am a single male, and am wondering if anyone can now inform me as to the areas of bars where I am most likely to be able to meet some friendly local Shanghai girls.
If such discussion is out of order for the protocol of this board I apologise in advance.
If that is the case can you alternatively give me the name and address of a bar/cafe where I can meet some expats to discuss the local scene and customs. |

hello mate,
well there\'s Maoming Nan road, Xintiandi and lots of different places but the girls are very friendly in a bare called Borbon Street (just keep hold of your wallet)

You will have no problems attracting the attention of Chinese women in bars - if you can\'t see them, they will seek you out - the places recommended by RF are where they generally hang out. as well as Ju Lu Lu..they are full of Western men with Chinese girlies, so you should blend in nicely.

Discos/clubs you can try Rojam (Huai Hai Lu), Maya, Club 97 or Guan Di ( I think the last 2 are at Fuxing Gong Yuan). Lots of friendly locals but as mentioned, watch ur wallet |
