| Post subject: Birth Control |
I need some information about birth control pills available here in Shanghai. Where can I get them? Local hospital or Western? Do I even need a prescription, or can I just go to a pharmacy and get them? What is the price like (without health coverage)? Any information would be appreciated.. Thanks! |

You can buy more expensive, imported pills at western hospitals and local pills at the local pharmacies. The cost for the local pills is less than rmb30 per pack (one month). Probably a good idea to pull out the chemical composition of your current prescription and compare it to the make-up of the pills you are thinking of buying so you have something with similar levels of estrogen and progestin. |

You don't need a prescription. But if it's your first time, I suggest you consult a gynae... |
