Why no other options? My favourite hotel is Pudong Shangri-La instead. Compare to Grand Hyatt it gives one more home feel and the staff there are more friendly and whole hearted to server customers. |

i think the reason there are no other options is that the initial thread required a minimum of four votes to make it to this level... if the shangri-la didn't get past that level then it won't appear here. |

The St. Regis is the only hotel in Shanghai that inspires me every time. These people go above and beyond in everything they do, and the rooms and bathrooms are perfectly comfortable. I just love the bose CD player by the bed. Danielis has what I consider to be Shanghai's ultimate/intimate Sunday brunch, and Saints in the lobby has a lunch buffet that knocks all other out of the playing. The pastries are to die for, and once in a while when I check in, I get free chocolates. Can't beat that. Finally, the pool has got to be the cleanest and more serene of the hotel pools in Shanghai, besides maybe the Hyatt. |
