I'll vote for Bastiaan but really some of the best bread can be bought at the 5 star hotels here, especially Shangrila (actaully decent prices too) and Hilton JingAn.

I voted for Bastiaan Bakery, but Paris BAguette is also a good bakery that's missing!

I like Croissants de France for croissants but their baguettes always seemed too dry

I can't believe Carrefour isn't winning??!!! It has by FAR the most superior bread - real FRENCH bread (oh joy) and just about everything else!! I qualify this remark by adding Carrefour in Gubei only!!

I can't believe Carrefour and Croissants de France made the list!!! Never had good bread from any of them. For the best bread, the Hilton (i believe they have half price after 8pm as well) and House of Flour in Pudong are definately tops. Hilton has excellent dark German breads, and House of Flour has a really good multi grain bread with almonds and walnuts in it.

Yes, why House of Flour not on the poll list ???? Not many people know House of Flour ......As is by far one of the best bakery in town and best in Pudong. Specially their Ciabatta and low carb dark multi grain bread which is unbeatable
