| Post subject: Dinner at Oriental Pearl Tower |
Anyone knows the phone number of the restaurant on top of Oriental Pearl Tower? Planning to make a booking there. Thanks! |

you needn't book from there, you just pay the fees of tickets for entering that Oriental Pearl Tower, then you can get a free buffet in there at same time.
each ticket of that is 180 Rmb. |

yes, they have chinese & western food at same time, you can choose all you want to eat, but you cannot take it home & waste it in there.
they have free buffet (more than hundred kind of foods in there, also includes cakes and great fruits), but some alcohol & beverages you have to pay. |

Actually I just went there 3 weeks ago, and it is now 288 RMB. The food is just ok, but the view is amazing. As others pointed out, it is a buffet. Also the seating is Las Vegas style, ie you have a long table that you may have to share with other people. When you go back down, it is a pain because so many people try to cram into a couple of elevators only. Think Shinjuku station in Tokyo during rush hour... Despite all these issues, the view was truly amazing. |

Like any tower/revolving restaurant I've been to anywhere in the world -- you are paying for the view not the food, if you are looking for a culinary sensation skip it. I give the view a 9 (on a clearish day) and the food a 3. |

Which is a better place to go for a drink/dinner with a grand view.....Oriental Pearl Tower or Hyatt at Jinmao Tower? |

Very true. My experience has been the same . Seldom does the food measure up. Had dinner at the Hyatt and it was just OK. The view was great .
If you want value then go to Cloud 9 for a cocktail. (87 th floor) If you go between 6pm (open) - 8 pm there is no minimum charge. The view is great and you can lounge about. |

Another option for those that cant be arsed going to pudong is the Raddison on nan jing rd opposite peoples park. Looks like a space ship but 45th floor is a revolving restaurant with decent food and as good a view as the other 2 mentioned sites. Of course the smog can ruin everything. |
