| Post subject: Driving in China and Russia. |
Well, it's not that difficult. Driving around in China. Even if you are a laowai.
I've done for some time now.
Anyway my question is:
Where do I get a International Driving Permit for my Chinese Driving License???
Where do I get a International Driving Permit for my Chinese Driving License???
Two time, since the question is a real challenge! - At least for me.
I need the IDP because I want to enter Russia and I donīt have a IDP for my original license.
HOPE some have the intelligence and care to share it!!!

The last I checked whether we could get IDP based on US driver's license, China was not listed...so my guess is that it might be hard to get IDP based on your Chinese license. Countries often have reciprocity deals so I'm giving you a disclaimer that I'm making an assumption here. I don't know about Russia. Depending on where and how much you plan to drive in Russia, you might be able to get away with using your foreign license. Do some research on the Internet and I'm sure you'll find something if you don't get any response, or post your questions on a popular Chinese forum.  |
