| Post subject: Buying an LCD and other electronics |
Hi all,
Looking to buy an LCD flat screen for my computer (probably 19-21 inch). Any idea where is the best place in Shanghai to buy this kind of thing and what kind of prices I should be expecting? If I do buy a Chinese branded one, are there any brands I should look for or avoid?
Cheers,
Alex |

About 9 months ago I bought a 19" widescreen LCD for about 2800RMB. (So it should be cheaper now.) Remember to bargin!
Except for a rather low max Hz, it is good in all other specs.
I dont remember the place exactly, but it was in the electronics "market" close to Xu Jia Hui Metro Station.
There is direct access to the market/mall from the metro tunnel.
There is also a bunch of electronics market areas near BaBaiBan, close to Dong Chang Road Station on Line2, but I prefer going to Xu Jia Hui, eventhough I live in pudong.
Good luck! |

in XuJiaHui area, the two large computer malls are Metro Center (luo cheng) and Pacific soemthijng or another (TaiPing Yang) right near the XJH circle. Not sure about prices though
Closer downtown, you cn go to Cyberworld (SaiBo) on HuaiHai Rd at HongKong Plaza (HuangPi South Road intersection) |
