Post subject: hostels in shanghai?

I'm moving to Shanghai as soon as I can. I've never been there, let alone Asia. I'm packing light and getting an apartment when I arrive. Are there hostels to stay in while I decide on living arrangements? What's the best way to go about this?

How much the budget? Motel 168 has many branches all over Shanghai, their cheapest room is 168rmb/night. Decent and quite clean though not so fancy.

You can google or try www.elong.net or www.ctrip.com, one of them has hostel section.
