Post subject: The ANTI-pool party

I'd reall like to go to a pool party but i might stand out as I'm nearly 40 and there is no way in hell I'm going to take my shirt off and expose the beer gut I've dilligently worked on for the past few years (ok decades)!!

To this end I decided to fight the pool party phenom and do a rain dance every saturday. This actually worked twice, but in two years that hardly counts as a result, I suppose.
I have a new strategy. As the manager of sasha's I've decided to host a
'No pools please, we're not that fit!" BBQ every saturday while the weather lasts.
From 12 - 6 pm, each saturday, enjoy free flow Carlsberg and all u can eat BBQ, serving up lamb cutlets, pork chops, steak and sausages and salads for 188rmb!
Ha! even if it rains on the pool party parade, we can put our tent, sail whatever you call it...
As that young whipper snapper Tom Jones used to sing " You can keep your hat on" and now your shirt too!!!
I'm sure there are a few guys who think they'll break the house on the Carlsberg alone!!!
Pool parties? JUST SAY NO!!

if 100 beer-bellied guys show up, how can you gaurentee 100 beer-bellie loving girls will show up?

That sounds a pretty good deal, afxduffy, even if there were a paucity of good-looking eye-candy. Knowing you guys, you'd demand a surcharge for it. On the other hand, put a certain Floridian waitress in a G-string and the red-blooded bloked will go pouring in, even with a cover charge,

A little blotto budgerigar (is that how you Aussies really spell it?) also told me Sasha's may have some good wine specials coming up soon. Care to post the details on the Wine Thread (under 'About Food')?

A hazy veil of sunshine wove its way through the humid air, caressing my face with its warmth.......sun glistened off white dunes.......a myriad of light refracted in the foam flecked golden waters.....the aroma of that days hunt being cooked on the spit grill, tendrils of smoke snaking their way through the beer garden...BEER GARDEN!!!!!!! Wow must have dozed off in the heat! What was I dreaming about? "white dunes" must have been winopetes' and co's beer bellies, the foam flcked golden waters, the free flow carlsberg and the "hunt" obviously the all u can eat BBQ! Freud where are you???????
