| Post subject: another macpod rant |
Has anyone noticed the lack of docos/documentaries on chinese television? instead theres all these shows that teach you how to spend money on unnecessary extravagence.
i just watche this food show that had a couple of wanks in suits sitting around eating a dry looking steak with some XO liquor. The food looked disgusting but they were prasing it because it was imported from australia.
then the stupid airhead girl pops a 'oh! no wonder it tastes so good' when the guy mentions the fruit is from taiwan.
can you blame shanghainese people if they grew up watching this ****. |

So this is another ranting about why shanghainese are stupid as hell? Oh yeah Macpod you are really good at explaining the BIGGEST mystery in this world!!!
Too bad you had to watch these valuable shows yourself for a testing en then came online to biatch how bad they are indeed.
BTW thanks for letting me know cuz I stop watching TV shows for a very long time. Now I feel released! |

I remember when back to 2001-2002, i used to watch these shows and it helped a lot my chinese. Somehow they are useful...for expat |

Macpod: have you spent any time in the States, or any part of the "modern" world? Has the word "infomercial" ever entered your, well, "developing" brain?
There will be feces littered all over, this being an imperfect world; that's no news. What does amuse me, however, is people who insist on sniffing it. That's far more psychologically interesting. |

Actually, since im not a stay at home mother im never around for the infomericals. So no, i cant say i have seen that many.

I once switched on the telly and there was some show with a watermark in the middle of the screen advertising for some sex lubricant, through the whole show. Pretty funny attempt at subliminal advertising! |

Well that'd explain it, for a while there I thought the powers that be decided enough's enough, and it was time to bring in some new porno channel. No such luck I s'pose!
..but really, I remember seeing it and thinking to myself I didn't realise sexual liberties had reached that point over here. |

I can't remember the channel, this was a while ago and I never really watch TV here, but I remember it was just some chat show, they were talking to a Chinese celebrity as I recall. |
