| Post subject: What's for dinner tonight? |
I'm cooking chicken, with corriander (onions, and garlic), with thai spices.
What do you normally eat for dinner? |

Last night we went out, Tuesday was dinner out, Monday was the other half of my Zentral wrap, and tonight I'm out.
That's not usual for me though. I make tuna salad wraps, have baked beans on toast, savoury mince on a occasion with pasta, soup, leftovers, etc.
Cooking for one is just not that cool. |

how come? I used to cook for myself sometimes...i would always end up making too much, and then having to eat the same thing for bfast, lunch and dinner, the next day. Haha
I love beans on toast...but my husband hates the smell, so i haven't had it for a while...is it just him or do americans not like the idea of baked beans..it really grosses him out. |

I never used to like baked beans - much preferred spaghetti! - but I've adopted them into my diet and enjoy them on the odd occasion.
It's not that I don't enjoy cooking for one, it's just not really convenient, and like you say you then have left overs for ever and a day! My partner's not home for dinner 6 our of 7 nights so I just eat simply. That way less produce goes off or is wasted as, like this week, my eating at home plans can sometimes fly out of the door! |

Was taken out to dinner tonight by visiting relative...deeelicious food & now have yummy leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
Most nights dinner is very simple. Too tired to cook properly by the time I get back from the office, but try to keep it healthy. Pasta & vegies; tomato, spinach & cheese on toast; fruit etc. |

Tonight we will have soup.
Started 1 hour ago, needs more 2 hours...
Chicken, a lot of potatoes and carrots...maybe I'll put some corn...(if my son asks me)
Then we put grounded parmesan in the bowl, soup and eat with a piece of bread with butter...
Did not have lunch today, so I'm very hungry!!
Sorry, no pictures from the soup...I'm lazy today.... |

me too! Usually end up with meat, but saw some huge salmon steaks at Pines, in Gubei at the weekend, so thought i'd try them out.
iara..i'm making a beef roast for sunday dinner....for 8 people!! I've never cooked for so many before, so am feeling the pressure!! do you have any secret recipe for gravy? or is the secret just to use the beef drippings/oil from the roast. |

what kind of beef roast? a big one or small pieces???
I think the best is use the beef drippings, but remember : don't put water if the beef is still on the pan, the beef will turn in a hard piece of meat.
And when you need to add some water, allways hot water.
When meat is ready, then put water and make a gravy. |

what you can do is use the drippings, add onion, garlic, carrot, cook more than just use the sauce later...is good too! |
