Tafnap. Have you considered going down the road of booking her a holiday through a travel agent where they arrange the flights, accomodation and the visa. It will prove more expensive but its almost guaranteed that they will grant the visa plus..........i do know someone who did this but struck a deal with the agent that they did not have to pay for the accomodation although the agent supplied documentation of the hotel and booking for visa purposes.

This is good advice and works for many locals, albeit it is more expensive than the DIY route. The idea is that the traveler is on an accompanied tour with a bunch of other locals just going to see the Syndey Opera house and the other sites or whatever. But in actuality, she can ditch the tour group immediately and just make sure she's back on the plane when they leave.

The only problem now is: since she has been denied the application once already, then maybe a red flag will go up at the Aussie consulate when they see her application again.

Sounds tough. Maybe you should just take her to Hainan and tell her its the golden coast.

i went to the states 2ice last year and this year. both under my ex boyfriend name. i just went over to visit him and his family. the second time he wasn;t even in the states. i got visa without any problem and they gave me multiple entries. and each time i can stay for up2 half a yr. i guess the reason is because i travelled a lot. i have been backpacking all over asia on my own. even though i m 23 and freelancing . but the consulate loved me a lot and welcomed me with big hugs.

What are you talking about Artefact? It wasn't easy at all. It took multiple entries from the boys at the consulate before she got the visa!

I don't think this fella is true blue Aussie anyway. What the hell is with WANNA? I bloody hate that. Not to mention 2 u 4 u 1 thing etc... Why is this American crap making it's way to Australia. Mate, see if the two of you can move to the US.

Not sure who you hang out with, but the Americans I know certainly do not type that way Wink

I think the 2, 4, u, etc.. thing is more of a Singapore/Malaysia thing, which I find very annoying as well.

I think it's very good for mobile text. Save space and easy typing. I did see them on vodafone mobile brochure.
