| Post subject: Sharing a hotel room with colleague of the opposite sex? |
CLM posted this amazing story on this thread. http://www.shanghaiexpat.com/index.php?name=MDForum&file=viewtopic&p=4 96441#496441

In fact, i have shared hotel rooms with female colleagues. Not as a boss mind you, as a junior employee. It was the best solution for the company at the time (they were insolvent and couldn't afford two rooms) and i shared rooms with my female CEO and twice with other marketing girls. Not harassment at all. We were asked and agreed to it. Had we voiced opposition we wouldn't have had to go and would not have gone on the trip.

I've certainly stayed in the same room as a colleague of the same sex on numerous occasisions, however, I've never heard of anyone being asked to stay in the same room as a colleague of the opposite sex. So lets hear from the other members of this forum. Anyone else been asked to do this? |

Never. But i guess as CLM mentioned it was more an economic reason. they were insolvent. Im also a little lucky, most of the time i share the hotel room with myself. |

I would rather share with colleagues of the opposite sex than with other guys, a big no-no for me! |
