Golf driving range at the East Asia Golf Club???

Post subject: Golf driving range at the East Asia Golf Club???

I've just been on a wild goose chase to the Shanghai East Asia golf club, which is listed on the Big Bamboo website as well as a few others as being a large golf driving range at 135 Jianguo Xi Lu. However, 135 Jianguo Lu is a municipal sports centre with football pitches and a gymnasium but no golf driving range.

To confuse things further, the phone number on the listing is for the East Asia hotel, who have an indoor golf simulator (currently broken).

I've found the listing for East Asia Golf Club on other sites but the phone number now seems to be a fax number.

I'm wondering if this place used to be where the football pitches now are?

Can anyone solve the mystery? Anyone actually been there?

Was knocked down 4 years ago to build the sports centre. Closest driving ranges are: 1. Next to the Jin Mao tower in LuJiaZui or 2. on Hong Mei Road in Hong qiao

If anyone know a closer one please share.
